Composition :
Each 1 ml of Phenylbutazone 20% contains:
Phenylbutazone........... 200 mg
How to use:
Phenylbutazone 20% is injected into a vein or muscle.
- Horses and cows:
Intravenously: 10-20 ml daily depending on the animal's condition.
Intramuscularly: 20-30 ml on the first day, 20 ml on the second day, and 10 ml for the remaining days, from days 1 to 4.
- Sheep :
Intravenously: 1 ml/15 kg body weight daily for 4 days.
Intramuscularly: 1 ml/15 kg body weight daily for 4 days.
Contraindications:
- Do not use in horses with a known allergy to phenylbutazone or any of the other ingredients of the product.
- A veterinarian should be consulted prior to use in pregnant or lactating horses.
- Phenylbutazone should not be used in horses taking other NSAIDs.
